I actually did these nails a while back, but as they were an attempt at someone else’s design I wanted to wait until I had their permission to post them, but I then realised they hadn’t posted in four months and so I may not get a reply to my question. So here we go!
I found them on nailartcouture and thought they were so beautiful that I just had to give them a go! You should check out the link for loads of other cute ideas by the way, and to see the original, which is a million times neater, and more delicate than my version!
I think my thumb is the favourite on this hand
Thank you for stopping by! and enjoy they rest of your day 🙂
I’ve actually been nail varnish free for the past couple of days, my nails seemed a little brittle and beaten after a particularly stubborn glitter varnish so I thought I’d let them breathe for a bit. But as usual I can never leave them that long without the temptation to get on to my next design.
I thought I’d go for something marginally simple this time, in two of my favourite nail colours:
Nails Inc. – Basil Street (nude)
Nails Inc. – Tate (red)
using a dotting tool to create the heart accents.
the flash has made the middle heart look a bit funny but hopefully you can see it properly on the other photo:)
So I’m still refraining from getting all Halloweeny, because frankly I want to hold on to Summer for as long as possible. I love Autumn, I just don’t want to admit it’s here yet, as then I too have to admit to the amount of work Autumn brings with it.
So in the theme of holding on to Summer, I have a yellow, peach and red gradient as my base, and some little white hearts to jazz it up a little.
So surprisingly it turns out there’s a LOT of reading in third year, I already seem to be in the library as much as I was during exam periods last year, so this is my ‘kind-of’ excuse for not posting more frequently recently.
But anyway, on to the nails, I saw this design by Revlon ages ago and have tried it so many times, and although I like it, I can never get it to look quite like the original, I think I just need more practice with my precision, unless there’s some super easy way to draw squares that has so far managed to elude me (if so please let me know!).
But hey, here’s my attempt!
The base coat by the way is one of my new shiny Nails Inc ones (Tate) that I got for my birthday!
Thank you for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your day!
As I said before I’m going into my third year of uni this year. I’m currently in my first week back and it’s very hectic!
So all I have for you at the moment it is a simple one colour manicure.
However I absolutely LOVE the colour!
It seemed really difficult to get my pictures to show just how light this polish really is, so I had to use my flash to get it closest to its true shade, so hopefully I’m not too far off the mark.
It’s Nails Inc’s Basil Street, and at the moment I’m enjoying the shade itself too much to put anything else on top, but I may well change my mind in a couple of days and add a bit more sparkle or print!
Just to note, this is the polish with a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat on too! I should have really taken a picture before and after, as the polish itself is really shiny, I just automatically always add my top coat first.
I’ve been super busy recently running back and forth from uni and home as I’ve had a couple of introductory lectures for the year, but also wanted to be home for my birthday; today!
But here are my birthday nails, they’re a combination of pretty much every glitter polish I own all blurred together. As a result my left and right hands look completely different, as I somehow managed to use a lot more blue on my right.
Now however I have the dilemma of being given some beautiful nails inc varnishes from my parents, so I’m currently debating whether or not to take this off to try out my new ones!
Anyway I hope you’re all well! Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂
I’ve not taken to blogging this frequently as the norm, but I painted my younger sister’s nails for a night out so thought I’d share these with you too!
believe it or not they did match her outfit
I used Pacific UK – Red Nail Polish for the base, and then went over this with Topshop’s Gem glitter polish. Then after not waiting quite long enough I added some tape and painted the black section in Golddigga – Mirror Black. Then after having to reapply certain parts of the red glitter coat due to my earlier impatience, I added gold studs from the ‘Rock Chic Nail Art wheel’ by NPW.
